Senior Project Manager – COO Change in a regulated banking context, responsible for coordinating complex, cross-functional and high-risk change initiatives across the COO domain. The assignment focuses on translating strategy into controlled execution by connecting governance, delivery and stakeholder management, and on supporting an efficient and compliant organization.
The role forms part of a COO Change team and works closely with program and project management colleagues. The position serves the wider COO organization and reports to the Head of COO Change, operating in a fast-evolving regulatory and organizational landscape.
What the assignment involves
The Senior Project Manager drives end-to-end delivery of strategic and regulatory change initiatives, ensuring clear alignment, consistent accountability and effective execution across stakeholders. This includes coordinating cross-domain planning, risk management and dependency resolution to maintain momentum and stability within complex transformation programmes. The role also represents the change function in key stakeholder interactions by providing insights, guidance and preparation for critical decisions.
In addition, the Senior Project Manager supports supervisory interactions on COO-relevant topics and contributes to improving organizational maturity. This includes sharing COO-wide insights on audit themes and working on structural improvements such as clarifying roles within COO departments, improving cross-domain oversight, and supporting measurable risk indicators. Coaching programme managers and project management colleagues is used to strengthen delivery capability across complex transformations.
Typical outcomes include facilitating timely steering decisions, supporting benefits realization for regulatory change initiatives, and ensuring cross-domain risks are escalated and resolved effectively.
Eisen
- Academic degree with at least 8 years of experience in complex programme management within Financial Services
- 5+ years of leadership experience in cross-functional, high-stakes change environments
- Proven experience with programme management frameworks and tools such as MSP, PRINCE2 and Agile at scale
- Strong analytical capability to challenge and improve transformation approaches
