Role description
This role supports a large retail organization with enterprise digital platforms by leading UX research that informs both design and strategic decisions. The UX Researcher conducts explorative, generative, and evaluative research to make employee and user experience insights measurable and actionable. Working in a complex stakeholder and IT environment, the role connects research findings to organizational priorities and quantifiable goals, ensuring that insights translate into business outcomes.
Responsibilities
The UX Researcher aligns research questions with hypotheses and business objectives, orchestrates multi-method studies for enterprise-wide experiences, and dives into what drives behavior for different user groups. The position partners with designers and design leadership to elevate the quality of UX research, coaches design teams on how to use evidence in decision-making, and communicates findings through high-quality artifacts that help influence decisions across the organization.
Practical work includes advising leaders on research needs, proposing and coordinating studies that address gaps in user understanding, delivering insights that inform product and roadmap planning, and providing recurring support sessions for designers and product teams.
Eisen
- Experience with eye-tracking
- Strong storytelling skills
- 3+ years of UX research experience in complex environments
- Professional proficiency in Dutch for conducting interviews and interpreting nuanced feedback
- Professional proficiency in English for collaboration and reporting
- Ability to switch seamlessly between Dutch and English in spoken and written communication
Wensen
- Expertise in diverse research methods (interviews, analytics, diary studies, eye-tracking, field research, usability testing)
- Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Ability to navigate large organizations and gain buy-in for research initiatives
