The role involves helping establish an Enterprise Repository that connects information from across the organization and transforms it into actionable insights. The repository brings together data on business processes, applications, technology assets, controls, risks, assessments, architecture, and configuration management to provide visibility into relationships and dependencies that influence change and transformation.
As a Solution Architect, you work within a multidisciplinary team to shape, select, implement, and evolve this capability. You translate business and regulatory requirements into practical architectural solutions in close collaboration with Product Owners, business and enterprise architects, Tech Leads, and DevOps teams. The Enterprise Repository supports understanding dependencies, assessing the impact of changes, strengthening regulatory compliance, and evaluating transformation scenarios so stakeholders can make informed decisions before investments or implementation choices are made.
Key responsibilities
You contribute to architecture, information modelling, integration, governance, and stakeholder alignment. This includes defining information models, metadata structures, relationships, and governance principles, and supporting capabilities for impact analysis, dependency management, and scenario planning. You develop solution outlines and architectural direction for projects, translate requirements into scalable and secure solutions, and contribute to domain roadmaps, architecture principles, and standards.
Governance is central: you ensure that compliance, security, risk, and audit requirements are addressed through architectural design decisions, and you provide guidance throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure alignment with agreed standards and target architectures. You also mentor delivery teams to support adoption and continuous improvement.
You participate in repository selection and development by contributing to requirements definition, supporting proof-of-concepts and solution evaluations, and assisting with implementation, migration, integration, and ongoing improvement. You help establish governance and operational processes that enable sustainable adoption.
Finally, you collaborate with stakeholders across business and technology to communicate architectural principles, designs, and roadmaps, and to drive alignment and improved decision-making through better enterprise insight.
