A senior Network DevOps Engineer supports the evolution of office network services in a large enterprise environment. The squad focuses on developing new capabilities for office network operations, including new network services, platform evolution, and automation. The role combines network engineering with software development and is delivered in an Agile engineering setting, with limited operational interruptions and an emphasis on scalable, future-proof solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver network features and services.
- Contribute to designs, standards, and reference architectures.
- Translate refined requirements into working technical solutions, largely independently.
- Build automation and Infrastructure as Code, including internal tools and platforms for deployment and management.
- Develop reusable code and integrate with APIs and external systems.
- Validate solutions through testing and pre/post checks to ensure production readiness.
- Stay involved after delivery to support a high-quality handover to operations.
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues and help resolve them end to end.
- Collaborate with the broader networking organization to deliver maintainable and operable solutions.
The role involves engineering work within the network platform domain, with strong ownership and a focus on quality, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Eisen
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals
- Good understanding of SD-WAN architectures, including overlays and underlying connectivity
- Experience with authentication and NAC concepts (e.g. 802.1X, RADIUS)
- Strong Python development skills (beyond scripting; structured, reusable code)
- Experience building and maintaining automation frameworks and/or internal tools
- Experience with REST APIs and system integration
- Strong experience with Git-based workflows
- Ability to take ownership of features from refinement to delivery
Wensen
- Experience with Aruba SD-Branch, Aruba Central, and/or Aruba ClearPass (or comparable enterprise networking / SD-WAN / NAC platforms).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (designing and maintaining, not just using).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps ways of working.
- Understanding of broader infrastructure context (integration with other platforms/services).
- Experience with Kong API gateway.
- Knowledge about AzDo pipelines and Azure functions.
