Role: Senior DevOps Engineer / Senior IAM Engineer focused on identity and access management (IAM) control automation.
This senior position combines DevOps engineering with IAM expertise to analyze, remediate, improve, and automate IAM services in a complex and regulated environment. The work strengthens IAM services so they become more effective, more controllable, and more scalable. It supports the transition from reactive control support to sustainable, predictable delivery of compliant IAM services, with a strong emphasis on control effectiveness, evidencing, monitoring, and reducing recurring manual effort.
What you will do
In the IAM domain, you contribute to the remediation and further development of existing identity governance and administration services. Your focus is on improving service quality, reducing manual activities, and enabling automation that supports both a user-friendly access experience and predictable control execution. You translate control findings and operational issues into backlog-ready technical improvements, working with Product Owners, Business Analysts responsible for control execution and automation, IAM risk and compliance stakeholders, and other engineers.
You design structural improvements to identity services, automate service and control-related activities where possible, and enhance the quality of evidencing and monitoring for in-scope IAM services. The role also includes contributing to scalable and reusable engineering patterns that improve consistency, traceability, and control maturity over time.
Eisen
- Language: English and Dutch
- Academic working and thinking level, preferably with a Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field
- Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer, Software Engineer, or IAM Engineer in a complex IT environment
- Strong hands-on experience with an Identity Governance & Administration toolset and patterns
- Proficiency in SQL
- Strong hands-on experience and proficiency in relevant supporting technologies such as SQL Server, APIs/web services, scripting and automation tooling, job services, data mapping, and system integrations within a complex IAM/IGA environment
- Strong knowledge of IAM concepts and principles, including provisioning, deprovisioning, recertification, reconciliation, Segregation of Duties, RBAC, ABAC, PBAC, and API orchestration
- Demonstrated experience in remediation and improvement of existing IAM services, rather than only greenfield development
- Experience with automating manual service activities, control-related activities, or evidencing and monitoring processes
- Ability to translate technical and control findings into sustainable design and implementation improvements
- Experience working in a regulated environment with high expectations on traceability, evidencing, and operational control
