This role supports the Financial Economic Crime (FEC) organization within a Dutch retail and commercial bank. The FEC department monitors client activities in financial systems to help detect and prevent behavior that violates laws and regulations, including money laundering risks, unclear corporate structures, and transactions involving sanctioned countries.
As Project Manager Transaction Monitoring, you strengthen the Transaction Monitoring (TM) Program & Project Management team during a transitional phase. You manage a migration change program within the TM domain, covering governance, structure, support, and documentation for delivery. You act as a central point of contact and coordinate the migration of an existing TM case management workflow to a new updated version from the ground up, working across Business and Technology functions.
Your work includes providing independent insights, problem solving, and management reporting; collaborating with TM teams to understand operational challenges; maintaining a proactive, hands-on approach focused on quality and compliance; and offering professional guidance to colleagues, business units, and senior management. You also work as a sparring partner for stakeholders with relevant domain knowledge.
The assignment starts on 1 September 2026 and lasts 1 year, at 36 hours per week. The work is performed on-site at the employer location in the Utrecht area (general area), including a commute to the local office.
Eisen
- Bachelor’s degree with 10–15 years of experience, or Master’s degree with 5–10 years of experience.
- Extensive Business Change experience with some Technical background.
- Knowledge of Transaction Monitoring and Risk Management.
- Experience of challenging platform rollouts and/or migration in a matrix management structure.
- Proven ability to engage stakeholders across departments.
- Good presentation skills up to senior management level.
- Strong decision-making skills and independent judgment.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Proactive, hands-on, and quality-focused with high degree of flexibility.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office software suite for documenting, reporting and presenting.
