This role supports the implementation of IT Service Management (ITSM) data objects and configuration management business rules within an enterprise data environment. The ITSM Data Engineer converts business requirements into technical solutions and ensures that ITSM-related data is integrated, governed, and maintained reliably.
Assignment and key activities
The engineer integrates and manages data from multiple sources using the organization’s global data platform, and leverages a cloud data environment on Microsoft Azure to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure data processing for service management use cases. Work includes building and maintaining analytics data flows for reporting and consumption, including creation and administration of workspaces as applicable.
A key responsibility is implementing and maintaining business rules within a configuration management system (CMS) using the organization’s global data platform. The role includes monitoring system performance and data integrity, identifying issues, and optimizing processes to improve efficiency.
The engineer works closely with business analysts, process owners, and other stakeholders to understand and implement service management requirements. Documentation of processes and configurations is maintained to support ongoing operations and maintainability.

- Proficiency in cloud services (e.g., data integration, storage, and DevOps services).
- Strong knowledge of a cloud analytics platform and Apache Airflow
- Good understanding of IT Service Management.
- Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
