The GenAI Engineer works within a Conversational AI & CRM function responsible for building and evolving customer-facing conversational channels such as GenAI chat experiences, voice interactions, messaging, and related multimodal flows. The assignment centers on designing and improving GenAI-driven assistants by combining hands-on development with architectural thinking and technical leadership.
The role includes providing technical direction for GenAI use cases, covering grounding, orchestration, safety configurations, and prompt design patterns. It focuses on promoting best practices in prompt engineering, system architecture, and integration approaches, including solutions such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG). The engineer also supports and mentors other team members working on agent and assistant builds, including complex troubleshooting, design reviews, and continuous quality improvement.
An important part of the work is ensuring operational maturity. The engineer defines and implements an application lifecycle management strategy for GenAI assistant tooling and environments, and takes ownership of AI governance and testing frameworks such as regression testing, LLM-as-a-judge evaluation, and end-to-end testing to support reliable, repeatable releases.
The engineer collaborates closely with dependent teams to align on requirements, designs, and integration needs, and contributes to stakeholder discussions by translating technical insights into business cases. The work is performed in an enterprise setting with emphasis on collaboration, quality, and smooth integration across digital channels.
