Over de opdracht
The DevOps Engineer will design, operate and continuously improve a secure, stable automation platform that supports application and infrastructure teams across a large financial services organization. The 24/7 service helps teams deliver infrastructure and applications efficiently, consistently and securely.
The role is part of an infrastructure-as-code automation team in a large-scale on-premises environment. The engineer works in an international Agile setting and contributes to the reliability, security and standardization of infrastructure services.
Responsibilities
The engineer designs, deploys, administers and improves the automation platform, identifying operational tasks that can be automated to increase efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities include platform lifecycle management, including installation, upgrades, patching, migrations, backup and recovery, and applying security practices to automation across Linux and Windows environments.
The role supports incident, change and problem processes and involves collaboration with colleagues across international locations. Participation in standby duties and daily operational shifts is part of the team’s 24/7 service responsibility. The engineer also contributes to managed services and continuous improvement of the infrastructure landscape.
Working environment
The assignment follows a hybrid working arrangement, with work carried out at the organization’s premises in the Netherlands and remotely.
Eisen
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
- At least five years of experience in a comparable large-scale, complex infrastructure environment.
- Extensive experience with an automation platform; version 2.6 or higher is preferred.
- A thorough understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for Linux or Windows platforms.
- Experience with security tooling.
- Knowledge of and experience with Scrum and Agile ways of working.
- Understanding of IT operations and familiarity with ITIL and incident, change, and problem processes.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Experience with Git repositories and configuring CI/CD pipelines.
- Basic knowledge of identity and access management processes using directory services.
- Availability for the full requested assignment period.
