As a Data Scientist, the assignment focuses on transaction monitoring to help detect financial crime. The work uses analytics models to analyze large volumes of customer transactions and to improve the quality of alerts so that investigations can focus on true positives.
The role supports optimization of an existing rule-based monitoring system and contributes to the longer-term move toward more advanced analytical methodologies, including Machine Learning. The position combines statistical knowledge and strong analytical thinking with pragmatic experience in operationally applying models.
Key activities
Develop and enhance detection rules through data analysis, model setup, and reliable, well-structured code. Identify and address challenges related to model choices, and help implement solutions that improve monitoring outcomes. Work closely with business experts, model owners, IT specialists, and analysts, ensuring consistent team best practices. The work also includes evaluating and integrating relevant data sources and continuously refining monitoring models based on findings and operational needs.
Eisen
- English mandatory
- Master’s degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Mathematics, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in data science or data analysis, preferably with large datasets
- Strong programming skills in Python and PySpark
- Valid Passport or ID card
Wensen
- Ervaring met Azure Databricks is een plus.
