This assignment supports the integration of a broader set of environmental commodities into an existing Markets technology and operating landscape, extending beyond voluntary environmental credits to include additional environmental certificates and related instruments. The Business Analyst assesses feasibility and viability, and defines how environmental commodities can be enabled within current systems and operations, with a key role expected from an existing Markets platform. Alternative solution approaches may be considered where appropriate.
By the end of Q1, the project delivers a roadmap covering required investments and budget implications, target architecture and integration approach, implementation timelines and milestones, required business, technology and operational capabilities, and the stakeholders involved across Markets, Risk, Finance, Operations and Technology.
Responsibilities
The Business Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology delivery teams. The role analyses current and future state processes, evaluates platform capabilities, and translates business needs into business and functional requirements, process flows and specifications. The work includes feasibility studies and impact assessments across business, process, technology and operating model dimensions, facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders and subject matter experts, and providing structured, data-driven recommendations to support decision-making. The position also contributes to the strategic implementation roadmap and business case.
The assignment is located in the Netherlands and is carried out in a hybrid working model. Office days are Monday and Wednesday. The working language is English (Dutch as a strong plus). The workload is 36 hours per week. The candidate must currently reside in the Netherlands.
Eisen
- Working language: English.
- Master's degree.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking, financial markets or capital markets.
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- All submitted candidates must be in possession of a valid passport or ID card, which must be taken along to the interview and at the start of the assignment.
- The candidate has to be available throughout the entire duration of the assignment.
- Pre-employment screening must be completed successfully before the candidate is allowed to start.
- Candidate must be submitted exclusively for one supplier during the exclusivity period of 4 business days on one request.
- Location: Netherlands.
- Residency: Candidate must currently reside in the Netherlands.
Wensen
- Strong preference for experience within Markets, Commodity Trading, Energy Trading or Environmental Markets.
- Strong preference for knowledge of Carbon Credits, Guarantees of Origin (GOOs), Biomethane Certificates or related sustainability products.
- Strong preference for experience working in regulatory and risk-sensitive financial environments.
- Strong preference for familiarity with trading workflows, lifecycle management, settlement and reporting processes.
- Murex experience is considered a major advantage and will be highly valued.
- Strong preference for experience with Front-to-Back Markets processes within investment banking or treasury environments.
